Last week I discussed the possibility of “rotation” where we got some different stocks moving up instead of the Magnificent 7. Among the candidates were TSLA and IBM which delivered on the upside. Another VISA did not, or rather I would say hasn’t yet. I think the weakness in V will get bought up assuming no general market surprises. Add to that list AMD which looks ready to get back in line after consolidating the considerable gains of the last couple of years. My call option plays to start the week are V and AMD on the long side.

So far a disappointment is TLT the long term bond ETF. I am long October calls. I may add some January calls and simultaneously sell some July calls against my October calls. This would leave me in a partial hedge position with two longs and one short, but with time to work with. Overall still bullish on TLT.

Thanks,

Joe
